Pastor Chris has served in Nevada since 1992. His father is the Director of Missions for the Sierra Baptist Association in the Reno area. Chris has been around ministry all of his life growing up as a “PK”. Chris surrendered to the ministry at a youth conference while in a youth group in Illinois. Chris attended the University of Nevada, Reno where he studied Music Education.
Chris worked as a bivocational music minister until First Southern Baptist Church called him full time in May of 2006. Chris is now the Associate Pastor, Minister of Music and Education here at First Southern Baptist Church.
Chris and his wife, Julie, have three children and make their home in Fernley. Jourdin, Jackson, and Madison are a great blessing to both of them and keep them quite busy.
